Clearview Coaches
I have been showing and competing for over 20 years and coaching for 15. I mentored under Don Dorsch for more than 16 years, where I developed a strong foundation in producing young hunters and jumpers through to 1.25m in the jumper ring and 3'6" in the hunter divisions, with consistent success.
I am especially passionate about developing young horses—particularly hunters—as well as working with riders of all skill levels, with a focus on those preparing to compete. I travel with a large group of students and training horses throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, competing at many upper-level shows. I truly enjoy the entire process of preparing both horse and rider for success in the show ring.
I value being involved early in a horse’s development and am happy to help guide prospects from the breakers or restart horses off the racetrack, developing them thoughtfully and correctly toward successful show careers.
I am an English hunter/jumper rider and coach with 10 years of coaching experience and a strong background in both the hunter and jumper rings. Throughout my career, I have competed at a variety of levels and have developed a passion for helping riders build confidence, skill, and effective horsemanship.
As a coach, I focus on creating a supportive and goal-oriented environment, emphasizing correct fundamentals, thoughtful riding, and strong partnerships between horse and rider. I enjoy working with riders of all ages and abilities, from those new to the sport to competitors pursuing show-ring success.
My approach combines technical instruction with encouragement, aiming to help each rider progress safely while reaching their individual goals.
